Making a Difference

On this page we will share information on the projects and community events which have been and will be supported by Pride in Fleetwood funding. 


March 2026

Prior to the funding being allocated, we will use this space to share the results of the initial phase of Community Consultation undertaken during the latter part of 2025.


Thank you to the team at Lorraine Beavers's office for hosting a programme of engagement events and communication channels, and for collating the information.

Overview of the consultation

A total of 1,143 responses were received, broken down as follow:

  • 315 completed
  • 664 social media comments
  • 92 consultation sheets
  • 42 suggestion slips
  • 30 emails

The team also visited local schools and colleges, and ran focus groups with young people.

Who responded?

From surveys & consultation sheets we collected 368 postcodes and 388 ages.


The majority of respondents gave their postcode as in or nearby to Fleetwood although some where from outside the Town - brining the voices of those who had moved away or where tourists.


Of the ages collected, 55% were under the age of 55 years - the youngest respondent was just 7 years!

Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next decade as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme

and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit our wonderful town.
