I was born in Leicester and in the early 1970s my husband and I visited friends in Fleetwood and really enjoyed the town and the facilities on offer. Because of this, we decided to re locate to Fleetwood in 1978 and joined the thriving holiday theme, running a self catering establishment.
I have worked for local businesses within the town, including a hotel, an estate agency, and solicitors. I have a great interest in the heritage of Fleetwood and am still continuing in that quest, promoting the profile of the town — it has so much to offer but needs some help to continue to thrive, and I support a number of groups in this regard.
With the assistance of Pride in Place, and by giving residents the opportunity to have their say, it is hoped that the town will benefit from inward investment to enhance both their own and visitor experience.
Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next decade as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme
and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit our wonderful town.
PRIDE IN FLEETWOOD is supported by the UK Government, Lorraine Beavers MP for Blackpool North & Fleetwood and Wyre Council.
