I am retired from the police having served in Kent County Constabulary and Greater Manchester Police having attained the rank of Chief Superintendent.
I have served as a Staff Officer at the Police Staff College, Bramshill. I was designer and Chief Instructor of the Home Office course for senior police, fire and ambulance officers called The Management of Disaster and Civil Emergencies, was secretary to the Association of Chief Police Officers' Emergency Procedures Sub Committee and was Police representative to the Home Office Civil Contingencies Secretariat.
I have also been Commander of Gillingham Police Sub Division in Kent, Commander of the Wigan Division of Greater Manchester Police and retired as Commander of Operational Support for that Force.
Since retiring I have moved to Fleetwood, which I regard as my home and have worked hard to help the local population through my work as a Rotarian and I have had the pleasure of leading a team which created the award-winning Fleetwood Beach Wheelchairs.
I consider myself as a capable strategic thinker and an experienced tactical deliverer of solutions.
My vision for Fleetwood in the future is as a deserving destination for tourists and visitors and as an example of best practice for those with disabilities and to help their physical and mental well-being.
Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next decade as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme
and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit our wonderful town.
PRIDE IN FLEETWOOD is supported by the UK Government, Lorraine Beavers MP for Blackpool North & Fleetwood and Wyre Council.
