I am a life- long resident of Fleetwood who loves being able to take advantage of our outdoor spaces with my friends, family and generally get out of my house now I’m a hybrid worker.
I work as a project manager within the Civil Service, and I applied to be part of the Pride in Place Fleetwood programme to try and help lend some of those skills to my local community. It means a lot to me that the people of Fleetwood see real, tangible and lasting results out if this programme and I want to try and lend my professional skills to my community through such a unique volunteering opportunity.
I see all of the great spaces and community based activities we have on offer that I believe the people of Fleetwood really benefit from and I think it would be a privilege to help grow and improve what we can offer to residents in the future. Making sure people see real success through this investment is going to be my driving focus as a Board Member and I look forward to seeing this programme turn into real, identifiable positive growth in our community.
Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next decade as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme
and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit our wonderful town.
PRIDE IN FLEETWOOD is supported by the UK Government, Lorraine Beavers MP for Blackpool North & Fleetwood and Wyre Council.
