Growing up in Fleetwood has shaped my understanding of both the beauty and the challenges of living in a quiet seaside town. I want to see that tranquillity evolve into long‑term stability and pride for the community.
My interest in politics spans local, national, and global issues, and I have always advocated for equality and opportunity. Fleetwood has faced long-term political neglect, and its declining economy has left many residents struggling. I believe this trajectory must change.
I currently study Fashion at Blackpool School of Arts, where I merge technical skill with political awareness, ensuring my garments communicate a clear message. As a Student Union representative, I consistently advocate for my peers and understand the importance of strong, accountable leadership. I am acutely aware of the issues facing Fleetwood: limited investment, poor transport links, restricted job opportunities, and a diminishing high street.
Living near the Jameson Road landfill site, I also experience the persistent odours affecting residents and worry about the potential implications for public health. I am committed to contributing to a future where Fleetwood receives the attention, investment, and respect it deserves.
Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next decade as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme
and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit our wonderful town.
PRIDE IN FLEETWOOD is supported by the UK Government, Lorraine Beavers MP for Blackpool North & Fleetwood and Wyre Council.
