Having lived in Pharos Ward for six years, worked within the Fleetwood community for four years, and as a parent of a child attending a local primary school, I am deeply committed to supporting the town’s future and contributing to meaningful, long-term change.
My commitment to this role is shaped by both professional and lived experience. Following redundancy in 2020, I gained insight into the challenges faced by many local families. During that time, I benefited from community-led support initiatives, which reinforced my belief in the importance of accessible, inclusive programmes and their positive impact.
In my current role, I have developed strong relationships with local services, partners, and community organisations across Wyre. I have built trust with residents and service providers, often acting as a bridge between individuals and available resources. Through leading community projects informed by resident insight, I have identified gaps and supported positive change. Witnessing barriers related to health, housing, employment, and opportunities for young people motivates me to help shape investments that reduce inequalities.
I believe Fleetwood has significant potential, and I welcome the opportunity to contribute my knowledge, experience, and commitment to ensuring funding delivers meaningful, transformative outcomes.
Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next decade as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme
and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit our wonderful town.
PRIDE IN FLEETWOOD is supported by the UK Government, Lorraine Beavers MP for Blackpool North & Fleetwood and Wyre Council.
