Hi, I’m Amelia, I am 15 years old and attend Fleetwood High School.
I was born in Fleetwood and I’m really excited to be part of the Pride in Place Board. I joined because I care about Fleetwood and I want to help make it a better place for people my age and for everyone who lives here.
Growing up here, I’ve seen things that work well and things that could definitely be improved. Being on the board gives me the chance to share ideas, speak up for young people, and help shape projects that actually make a difference. I think it’s important that teenagers have a say in what happens in our town, not just adults.
I like being involved, giving my opinion, and helping out wherever I can. I want Fleetwood to be a place people feel proud of, with more opportunities and better spaces for everyone. I’m enthusiastic, I like getting stuck in, and I’m always happy to share ideas. I’m really glad to be part of the board, and I’m looking forward to helping make positive changes in Fleetwood.
Fleetwood has been awarded £20 million over the next decade as part of the UK Government’s 'Pride in Place' programme
and the Fleetwood community will decide how the money is spent to benefit our wonderful town.
PRIDE IN FLEETWOOD is supported by the UK Government, Lorraine Beavers MP for Blackpool North & Fleetwood and Wyre Council.
